“Uplifting Greenwood with skillful rock riffs, fearless vocals, and humorous improv, Butter Boy slayed a dynamic set with the stage allure of a seasoned band beyond their years. Strategically pivoting between inviting and unhinged, they seized every opportunity to engage an intergenerational crowd...Seattle has a history of being spoiled with accessible performances by emerging bands slated to make rock history, and if this grassroots performance was any indication of their journey ahead, Butter Boy will be no exception, cuz they already rule."

BIO
“Butter Boy is an unbelievable, unbelievable group of kids, and they really bring the heat when it comes to tunes."
- Matt | School of Rock Seattle Music Director
VOCALS : Owen Selwyn
DRUMS : Lucas Mabry-Smith
BASS : Max Pennington
LEAD GUITAR : Jack Sloan
RHYTHM GUITAR: Lukas Svetich
At School of Rock Seattle in the summer of 2015, the original line-up of Butter Boy (including a former bass player, original guitarist Owen, and drummer Lucas) began to play and write music together. Before Autumn, lead guitarist Jack had joined the band, henceforth promoting Owen to lead vocals.
In summer of 2016, new bassist Max joined the band in time for Butter Boy to start playing in local areas of Seattle. As of Fall 2017, second guitarist Lukas Svetich has recently been recruited in order to spice things up and add the complexity the other margarine men desired. So far, Butter Boy has played in various venues around the greater Seattle area, from the Nectar Lounge in Fremont and the Seamonster Lounge in Wallingford to Magnuson Park and (strangely) a Fred Meyer parking lot. Butter Boy is ready to play anywhere in the Seattle area (before eventually embarking on world domination).

Butter Boy just recently finished their new debut album. The release date will be announced soon on this website and on social media, so stay tuned!
